THE LONDON HONG KONG BOAT FESTIVAL 2010

THE LONDON HONG KONG BOAT FESTIVAL 2010 is taking place on Sunday 27th June at the London Regatta Centre, Dockside Road, E16 2QT.

The day will be full of colourful flags and sounds of rhythmic drumming from teams of competing dragon boats. A Dragon Boat Photo Competition is organised by the Singtao Newspaper on the day and the festival is raising money for five London Chinese community organisations.

The day starts at 10am and finishes at 5pm

The Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival is organised by the London Chinatown Lions Club, the London Chinatown Association and the Hong ong Executives Club. The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in London is the principal sponsor.

POOJA SHAH has been nominated for the BEST ACRESS AWARD at the ROB KNOX FILM FESTIVAL 2010.

ROB KNOX was the young actor who appeared in HARRY POTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE and became the victom of Knife Crime in May 2008.

The Festival runs from the 1st of June to the 9th June with an awards night on the 9th June 2010 at Cineworld Bexleyheath.

Nicky Alan (Psychic Medium) and the Birdbrook Ghost Hunt

John Cameron to run the London Marathon

JOHN CAMERON - TV Presenter of BBC's CASH IN THE ATTIC and PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS, Auctioneer and Chartered Surveyor will be running the Virgin London Marathon this Sunday 25th April 2010 to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis.

John will be 40 next Friday and, as his niece who suffers from Cystic Fibrosis is unlikely to reach that age, he thought it a good time in his life to do this - for a great charity so close to his heart.

Pooja Shah - Missing - BBC1

POOJA SHAH, (well known for her days in Eastenders when she played Karena) will be appearing along side PAULINE QUIRK and MARK WINGETT in the second series of MISSING starting 15th March on BBC 1.

The series is a ten-part drama for BBC Daytime, set in a busy Missing Persons Unit. Quirke played DS Mary Jane "MJ" Croft, a charismatic detective who runs the under-resourced unit. It was filmed in and around Dover, Kent.
